“Superb stay in a quiet location in the Black Forest with a pleasant wellness area PROS + The proximity of the mountains, where superb hikes (of all levels) await you. + The exceptional cleanliness of the hotel! Although it has remained in its original state: the annex (containing rooms and wellness area) has been preserved as it was, 1980s?, and has not undergone any renovation. + The pleasant wellness area (swimming pool, 5 saunas and lots of loungers) is very warm and the different styles of sauna, particularly those with aromas, invite you to discover. CONS - A waitress (in the restaurant during dinner and at the breakfast buffet) always had a sullen face, which was not very welcoming, especially for a service staff member. - Among the staff, only the manager (who is at reception) speaks a little English and unfortunately the other people only speak German, which I find strange for an establishment so close to France and welcoming foreigners.”
“Cosy old style hotel Typical german service, sober but good Diner had very fresh and delicious salad buffet. Very clean rooms. We enjoyed a very peacefull stay with an amazing view from the balcony. Only 2 negative points: The hotel is not friendly for the disabled traveler. There was little choice for breakfast. There was little choice of things to eat and the coffee was not that great. Overall a very nice experience!”
